0-1-3-2 Anthony Wayne Plymale was born on June 10th, 1823
in what is now Wayne County, West Virginia. October 9th 1845 Anthony W. Plymale and
Pamelia Chadwick were united in marriage. She was born on April 22nd, 1826 and died in
1864. She was the daughter of Hiram Chadwick and Leah (Richardson) Chadwick both born in
Kentucky. Her father was killed in 1847 by a log rolling on him but her mother lived to be
quite old and resided on The Big Sandy River near the mouth of Cedar Run.
Anthony Wayne's father, 0-1-3 John Plymale, gave him 175 acres of land
on Buffalo Creek when Anthony Wayne and Pamelia were married. Anthony Wayne Plymale was a
successful farmer and at the time of his death owned 800 acres on Buffalo Creek. On this
farm, which was five miles south of Ceredo, there was a fine orchard in 1883. He served as
Justice of the Peace for about ten years and was a lumberman as well as a farmer with post
office address Dunleith, West Virginia.
Anthony Wayne Plymale's second marriage was to Malinda Swanson Forbess
on August 27th,1867.
He died on December 28th, 1889
