0-1-3-2-10 William Edward Plymale was born in
Wayne County, West Virginia on September 13th, 1869. He was raised on a farm,
helping his father with farm work and timber work. He was united
in marriage September 29th, 1901 with his cousin, 0-1-3-3-1-8 Leah Rebecca Malcolm who was
the daughter of 0-1-3-3-1
John Plymale Malcolm and 0-1-6-9 Rebecca Plymale
Malcolm. Leah Rebecca Malcolm was born January 31st, 1879.
Edward was a successful farmer, raising clover hay, corn, and wheat,
which he used for feed for the thoroughbred Hereford cattle, hogs, sheep and chickens he
raised. He was helpful in getting good roads and schools in Ceredo District.
Because of Edward and Leah's interest in education, each of their eight children are
college graduates. Francis Glover(M.D.), and Edward Lewis(pH. D.) have doctor's
degrees; Pauline, Wayne, and Birdie Jewel, each have Masters Degrees. All were born
in the same house that their father was born in which is the same house that 0-1-3-2
Anthony Wayne Plymale built shortly after his marriage in 1845. The land which
Buffalo High and Buffalo Elementary Schools now occupy was a part of 0-1-3-2 Anthony Wayne
Plymale and 0-1-3-2-10 William Edward Plymale's farm.
0-1-3-2-10 William Edward Plymale died December 14th, 1951
and Leah Rebecca Malcolm died January 30th, 1959. They are both buried in the Docks Creek
Cemetery.
