0-1-3-10-11 Erma Lee Plymale was born December 15th, 1891 on Buffalo Creek in Wayne County, West Virginia.  She married Fred Mason Carey who was born on May 8th, 1896.   Fred was an educator in Wayne County for over forty years, having served as teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools.  Fred and Erma owned and operated a general store in the curve below the Buffalo High School from 1929 until around 1950.  In 1947 they built a large brick home just to the side of the site of the old store and just in back of the old mill.  Fred M. Carey died February 26th, 1959 and Erma died May 10th, 1972.  They are buried in the 0-1-3-10 Guy Plymale I cemetery.
