0-1-13-12 John Anthony Plymale was born on a farm on Raccoon Creek  at Yellowtown (now Thivener), Ohio on December 21st, 1855.  He married Eugenia Rucker, daughter of John Rucker, River Mail Agent.

He was a successful farmer and fruit grower.  He also bought several tracts of land in Ohio and West Virginia.  After clearing the timber, the land was then sold to other farmers.
