| 0-1-12 Tabathia Plymale was born in
Giles County, Virginia in 1803. About 1820 she left Giles County, Virginia in a two
horse covered wagon with her father 0-1 Anthony, her brother 0-1-13 Hugh, and her
stepmother Ann Criner, and moved to Gallia County, Ohio where they settled on Raccoon
Creek, Clay township, at Yellowtown (now Thivener). On December
23, 1824 she was united in marriage with Joseph Boggs of the same state and county,
recorded in Book 1 Page 134 in the Courthouse at Gallipolis, Ohio. To this union, several
children were born.
Tabathia and Joseph moved to Wayne County, Virginia (now West Virginia)
sometime in the early 1840's. The children named in the table below are listed in
the 1850 Census of Wayne County. There is a five year gap between James A. and
Bathia J.; five years between Bathia J. and Samuel; four years between Samuel and
William B.; and four years between William B. and Carolin F. The Boggs probably had
other children that are not listed, especially daughters whose last names would have
changed after marriage by the time of this census.
Tabathia and Joseph are thought to be buried in the 0-1-3 John Plymale
cemetery in unmarked graves.
